- Remember to transfer your telephone, internet, cable, satellite,
etc. as soon as possible. The summer months are extremely busy for the
service providers and they can't respond quickly - sometimes it takes
weeks to get new service if there is no existing connection.
Mail Service
US Postal Service - 645 Vermont Street, Lawrence KS 66044 provides moving
packages for address forwarding, etc.
Also, contact your magazine subscription services, bank or lenders, and all regular correspondence about a month before your move. Send change of address information with bill payment.

Movers and truck rental companies get jammed the last week of July, first
of August - plan your move in advance!

Boxes can be purchased at wholesale prices - they come in various convenient
sizes - perfect for office, kitchen, and other areas of the house. It
is usually better to pack lots of smaller boxes because they are lighter
and easier to fit together. Lots of smaller loads are easier than a few
heavy loads - and safer to lift/carry.
Specific questions can always be asked of your realtor - it's amazing how many tips they can provide after years in the business of moving experiences!
